ZERO GRAVITY FLIGHT
Would you like to experience for yourself what it is like to float weightlessly like an astronaut?
You can do this on a "Zero Gravity Flight" or "parabolic flight".
Astronauts are weightless in space. To prepare themselves on Earth for that weightlessness, they regularly undertake parabolic flights.
During a parabolic flight, you first climb steeply (you then become 2 to 3 times heavier) before diving down, during which you experience weightlessness for 15 seconds. This manoeuvre is repeated 5 to 7 times.
The Space Training Academy organizes parabolic flights, including preparation.
We are organising a “Zero Gravity Flight” on 21 July 2019 to commemorate the first manned moon landing.
Duration: 1 full day
Location: Amsterdam Airport

In 2009, Nancy Vermeulen brought together two partners, "VRT" (Flemish Radio and Television) and the "Delft University of Technology", to organize a unique event following "ESA astronaut" Frank De Winne’s second space voyage.
Two VRT Radio listeners who had won a competition were able to experience a parabolic flight under Nancy Vermeulen’s supervision. You can see their reaction in the video below!
